Tammy Gutierrez[2] was a character who first appeared in The Mysterious House. She's one of the many Waterman Victims, who along her friend, Duckie, were killed by the Watermans on Halloween 1979.
Tammy is the main character in the non-canonical Halloween special The Mysterious House. In the episode, Tammy and her friend, Duckie, are going trick-or-treating and complain about the lack of candy they have gotten so far. Later, they go into the forest, talking about how much candy they got when Duckie suggests they return home. However, Tammy opposes this and suggests going to more houses, after this, they stumble upon a mysterious decrepit house.
When they knock on the door, the Witch Sheep opens the door and invites them in. Once they receive candy, they get their photograph taken, and the Pumpkin Rabbit suggests they both stay over for the night as it is very late.
While at the home, Tammy and Duckie are read the story of the Three Little Pigs by the Witch Sheep though Tammy finds the action of the Big Bad Wolf stupid as he could've waited for the pigs to leave and eat them. The Pumpkin Rabbit finds her idea very smart, calling her a smart girl for her idea. Tammy asks to be read another bedtime story, with her grabbing the photo book which greatly upsets Witch Sheep. Outside, unaware to Tammy, her sister would run into the Witch Sheep while searching for her.
Late in the night, Tammy wakes up and realizes the Duckie is not next to her sleeping bag. She then hears Duckie calling her name, so she gets out of her sleeping bag to go and investigate. When she peaks out the door she spots Billy, and exclaims that he scared her and asks Billy questions about where Duckie is, though he stays in silence. Once again, Tammy hears Duckie calling her name so she opens up another door which leads to even more doors. When going through one of the doors, she seems to spot Ducky with his arms out, saying her name once more, but then morphs into his dead body. Petrified, Tammy also discovers the bodies of previous trick-or-treaters.
The Pumpkin Rabbit then discovers Tammy in the room, asking what she's doing there. She responds by screaming at the Pumpkin Rabbit by saying “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!” only for him to state that he'll have to punish her for wandering around the house. He then takes off his mask and lunges at her with Tammy briefly running away though she is unable to escape The Pumpkin Rabbit, being murdered by him.
Tammy and Duckie is slightly expanded on in this episode. It is revealed that Tammy's Sister would tell the public about Tammy and Duckie going missing at the Waterman House, leading to the police investigation and later, the lynching of Pumpkin Rabbit and Witch Sheep.
Tammy is found in Rachel Waterman's Pumpkin Patch by Ralph with a bag over her head. Later, the head of Tammy is seen on a mannequin, showing that Tammy was decapitated by the Pumpkin Rabbit. When The Waterman Photo Book is burned by Jay, Duckie and Tammy assist in the defeat of the Watermans, standing above the dying Lorenzo Waterman, watching their murderers die from their injuries. After the Waterman's deaths, Tammy along with other spirits would hold Lorenzo and Rachel's spirits in torment in vengeance for their murders.
Appearance[]
Alive[]
Tammy is an indigo/purple cat with yellowish-green eyes, a yellow bowtie, and a yellow bowler hat. She wears a yellow and black vest and a white shirt with buttons underneath. She is sometimes depicted with a bloody knife headband prop going through her head. Despite being a cat, she has a more canine-like head and snout, which is the reason she is often mistaken to be another animal like a wolf or fox. She also shown in a Christmas outfit with a Santa hat, black bowtie, and red vest.
In the remake of Tammy included in the The Return of The Pumpkin Rabbit - Retro Release Video VHS, she appears more like a cat with a short round snout and does not have her bloody knife prop headband. Her bowler hat has a shiny black ring around it.
Deceased[]
Her eyes have been gouged out, with blood trickling from the sockets, down her mouth and chin. She also has her mouth brutalized opened in the middle. Her fur is ruffled with her head completely decapitated.[3] She is later tied to a scarecrow for Rachel Waterman's pumpkin patch with a fake head tied to where her head once was with a face drawn on the bag.
Trivia[]
Tammy is confirmed to be LGBTQ+ by Martin Walls in The Official Walten Files Discord.
Tammy in Boozoo's Ghosts appears holding a puppet similar to Henry the Puppet from Harmony & Horror.
Tammy was originally going to be in Walten Files canon similar to Rocket, a doll and her possessor being Molly.
This is also something implied by the unused Relocate Project image of Tammy in a K9 like room.
In Tales of the Pumpkin Rabbit, her last name is confirmed to be Gutierrez, possibly hinting the character to be Latina/Hispanic-coded.
